Principal

 
Mrs. Heather Bobb is the principal here at the Rumney Marsh Academy. A graduate of the Revere Public Schools, Mrs. Bobb went on to work for several years as a middle school and high school math, English and ESL teacher. She then worked as an Instructional Coach, Department Head, and Assistant Principal before being appointed Principal at the RMA here in Revere, where she grew up. Mrs. Bobb believes that all voices should be heard, and works hard to forge strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and the community. Assistant Principal

Ms. Janel Kennedy is one of our two assistant principals here at the Rumney Marsh Academy Middle School. She has been in the Revere Public Schools for over 20 years beginning as a middle school Social Studies teacher and moving on to administration.  She has a BA in Social Studies/Education and MA in European History from Providence College and CAGS in School Leadership from Salem State University.  She strives to create a supportive learning environment which encourages all students to take risks to reach their own academic, social, and emotional goals.  She believes positive relationships with the students and families are important in building a foundation for student success.

Assistant Principal

Mr. Christopher Porrazzo is the Assistant Principal for all 2023-2024 6th graders and 8th graders with last names M-Z. Mr. Porrazzo is also a graduate of Revere High School and prior to becoming Assistant Principal he was the guidance counselor of the Rumney Marsh Academy for 7 years. Being from Revere, he takes a lot of pride in this new role, and is eager to create connections with students and families to strengthen and deepen the education received for all students. Mr. Porrazzo believes in self-reflection, professionalism, and teamwork; these core values drive his work with all students, educators and members of Revere Public Schools.

Administrative Assistant

Ms. Meriano is our office secretary here at the Rumney Marsh Academy.  Ms. Meriano has served as a substitute teacher and secretary in various schools across our district.  She has been the secretary at the Rumney Marsh Academy since it opened its doors in 2007.  Ms. Meriano provides support for our RMA personnel, students, and families, serving as the primary contact and source for information in our main office.
